Here are 2 methods which you can use in order to install Magisk on your Android Device. With that being said, let us now take a look at our first method:

Method 1: Using TWRP Recovery 

Now, if you are someone who has a TWRP Custom Recovery installed on your Android Device, then you need to follow these steps carefully:

  • First of all, you need to download the latest version of the Magisk on your Android Device.
  • Now, you need to boot your Android Device into the Recovery Mode. You can do so by pressing the Power + Volume Down keys at the same time for a few seconds.

  • Now, select the Magisk.zip file which you downloaded earlier.
  • Once done, swipe the button the right in order to confirm the flash.

Method 2: By Patching Stock Boot Image

Now, in order to install Magisk on your Android Device to root it using this method, you need to follow these steps carefully:

  • First of all, you need to download the latest version of the Magisk on your Android Device.
  • Now, place the boot image for your Android Device in the internal storage of your Android Device.
  • Once done, go to the File Manager and install the Magisk.apk file on your Android Device which you downloaded earlier.
  • Now, open the Magisk manager app on your Android Device.
  • Here, tap on the Install button.
  • Choose the Install option on the next screen.
  • Now, select the Patch Boot Image File option.
  • Navigate to the folder which contain the boot image of your Android Device.
  • Now, let the Magisk Manager do the job for you.
  • Once done, connect your Android Device to your Windows PC.
  • Now copy the patched_boot.img from /sdcard/MagiskManager/ to C:\adb on your Windows PC.
  • Once done, open a Command Prompt Window in the ADB Folder by holding down the Shift Key while pressing Right-click and choose Open Command Window here.
